If you have anxiety and ptsd do not come here. My first experience was amazing, my second experience had me leaving in tears. Doctor shows up late and wants to rush right through the patients he has lined up. Does not want to actually go the pace a nervous person would need. Asked him to tell me what he was doing before he does it, instead tells you to shut up so this goes faster and he is very experienced. Roughly moves your head around by grabbing your mouth and pulling you. Keeps telling how I don't need to be numbed when I wasn't asking for that, just to be informed about what is going on. Walks off and talks with the manager. "Manager" comes in to "talk" to me which was basically telling me what I experienced didn't actually happen, tell me I won't be numbed because it isn't necessary, then tries to give me a long version of the short "Just pop the temp off and put on the crown" I heard them saying between each other in the hall (awesome HIPPA compliance btw). When I interrupt to tell her this isn't needed and actually makes me more nervous, just tell me what is happening when/before you do it to help with my anxiety, I was met with "I don't appreciate your tone". This from the "manager" who was just loudly talking to another patient about their side "business" of being a motivational speaker for South Beach Body. I didn't feel motivated, comfortable, or safe. When the doctor comes back in the first thing he asks is if I want to be numbed, I say I was just informed that wasn't happening...miss "motivational speaker" says that isn't what was told to me (again being called a liar). Don't come here when Dude-bro Dentist and the South Beach Body manager are on.

Like many things that I procrastinate in life, I had failed to find a dentist when I moved up to Seattle. So it shouldn't have come as a surprise that I had no idea where to go when I had a tooth go from bad pain to horrible pain within a couple days and nowhere to turn. A friend recommended Emergency Dental Care USA in downtown Seattle. She had gotten emergency dental work done there and said that it was pretty affordable. I was skeptical of any place that offers "emergency" care, because to me that equals $$$$, but I was glad that I took her advice. I was able to be seen by Dr. Huang (whom I highly recommend) the same day that I called. It turns out that I needed a root canal, which I was also able to get done that day. I didn't feel a thing (thanks to novocaine), and I have to say that it was one of my better dental experiences. By the time I walked out the door, I was only paying $800 after insurance for x-rays, the root canal, and the molded crown, which I came back to get 2 weeks later. Not bad at all! I am using to paying upwards of $2,500 for a root canal and crown. The views from the patient rooms are pretty sweet. I was really impressed with Dr. Huang's friendliness and professionalism. She was caring, sweet, and very gentle with me. In fact, everyone at this location was super friendly and nice from the receptionist (who helped explain payment options, etc.) to the dental assistant, who took my x-rays, did my crown molding, and assisted with my root canal. They offer payment plans through Care Credit, which is also a great way to finance pet care as well. It's amazing to have the flexibility to pay over time when you are talking about expensive services. Emergency Dental Care not only performs emergency work but will also assist with any follow-up and regular dental work, including cleanings. I will definitely be back after my experience here, and I think Dr. Huang is for keeps!

Usually they just clean off the old cement a bit and bind it back on but they all sorts of stuff and I was there for over two hours. I felt the pain while they were working on it and My tooth is store sensitive from that service! The dentist also tried to sell me on crowns and insisted that I did that right then and there. Um, no.

Seeing that it has been a few years since I have seen a dentist, one of my greater concerns (besides the throbbing pain I felt from my tooth) would be the environment and treatment I would receive from the staff. A filling from a tooth fell out, and after feeling excruciating pain Friday night, until Sunday morning, when I called, I was greeted with a warm receptionist, Rachel, who was able to answer all of my questions and concerns over the phone in a professional and friendly manner. I was able to be seen later that day and, again, the staff was just nothing short of amazing. The dental assistant, Alonya (I butchered the spelling of her name I'm sorry!) was extremely kind, patient, welcoming, and understanding to the pain that I was experiencing. I couldn't necessarily bite down properly on the instrument needed to take the x-ray for my affected area, but she didn't show any sign of impatience or annoyance after it took me more than three times to try and complete the task. She was very personable and made me feel very relaxed throughout the visit. (Thank you!!) Dr. Porter was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and again, didn't make me feel like I was a bad person for neglecting the care of my molar. He referred me to a specialized clinic that focuses on the care of endodontics. Dr. Porter had a very relaxed and personable demeanor to him, which didn't make me feel anxious at all. (Thank you Dr. Porter!) After leaving the cubicle, I spoke to Rachel and went over future instructions, payments, and all of that jazz. (Thank you Rachel!) In which, again, was very patient and understanding to my needs. I would definitely recommend this place! Thank you all, again!
Here's some fun updated information on my tooth. After finding a great local dentist and having things assessed, the crown that was put on at Seattle Emergency Dental Hell, has to be removed because it wasn't put on properly. This is just the gift that keeps on giving

Their hours are amazing, and the staff are very friendly, and efficient, and non judgmental. I had no waiting time and procedures could be done pretty much right away. I've never written a yelp review, but had such a good experience there that I wanted to spread the word. They have financing options available, and are truly the place to go when you really, really need to get in.

I went here over the weekend for a deep cleaning which I badly needed. Although they did a pretty good job, I felt like their priorities for my visit were more money related than the well being of my care. The whole experience before and after the procedure felt like a used car salesman experience. They charged me before I had the cleaning done and were very pushy when I was going over the options with my husband. It is very expensive, ($1300 for the cleaning of 2 quadrants and x-rays) and while I was getting shots in my mouth, they were not being very sensitive to my pain or discomfort. I have very high anxiety and just wish they would have been a bit more considerate of my feelings. Other than that, they did a good job-- just wish they could work on their friendliness a bit more. This is a good place to go for emergencies but remember that you will be charged higher and it will not be of the same quality that you would get at a normal dentists office. They also do not offer laughing gas, so if you have high anxiety like me-- I would recommend taking a sedative before hand.
