I'm very disappointed in this dental office. My husband started suffering from a very bad tooth infection, after the first 2 days of suffering from tooth pain he started getting excruciating headaches and blurry vision so I found this office & called. I explained to the lady at the front desk what was going on and told us to come on in and they would see him. I leave my home in ell plain to pick him up from work Saturday in Puyallup, hours early from him getting off to this Tacoma office to be pushed away saying she never told us we would be seen and didn't remember talking to me but said she's the ONE PERSON to answer the phones... So I grabbed my 6 week old baby and hurting husband and took them back home! She was rude, a liar, and very unprofessional the way she handled our situation. Thankfully my husband got in to our dentist for an emergency extraction, and antibiotics for a very bad infection. Thankfully his eyes and head are much better and his tooth or lack of lol...

I took my daughter here for a tooth extraction and from the nasty receptionist who had quoted one price but had it doubled with a "take it or leave". We wanted additional 45 minutes past appointment time to have the rudest, bitter pretend medical professional call her back, making rude statements about her need for nitrous and then left her there for an hour without acknowledging she was even bloody back there! As if being in extreme pain wasn't bad enough this bait and switch practice is the worst.

I really really don't like to leave one star review on Yelp.... However, I just want to warn you before you go in for a tooth pull. Yes, this place is very convenient & looking very professional from exterior if  you live or work in downtown. Yes, I guess my bill was included for the location. I included the receipts of the unreasonable price of $425 total. Service/front desk and wait time duration were very unacceptable as well. The lab was in was very outdated-wall paint started coming off and so on. Again, I thought I was paying for the cost of being downtown atmosphere.... My learning note: Call & compare total cost prior to making emergency appointment at a dentist from now on.

I was having some tooth pain, and was getting ready to leave town.  My normal dentist was out of the country.  I went to this clinic to see if they could isolate the problem.  The exam and x-rays were inconclusive, so the dentist recommended a root canal, advising that I likely had a micro-fracture. I proceeded to have the root canal done. The doctor advised that I had to have a temporary crown put on immediately.  This was my fatal mistake.  PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT IT IS SAFE TO WAIT A WEEK, OR SO BEFORE A CROWN IS PUT ON AFTER A ROOT CANAL.  The dentist at Emergency Care USA advised the crown had to be done immediately.  This is NOT true, and is actually not the best practice.  My dentist advised it is good to wait a bit to make sure nothing goes wrong with the root canal. In prepping for the crown, the dentist ground down my tooth too much.  I have less than 1 mm of tooth left to hold the crown.  When I had the temporary crown checked by my regular dentist, he was shocked the crown was still on.  Additionally, when my regular dentist x-rayed the tooth, he found the dentist at Emergency Care USA had neglected to put a post in my tooth.  My dentist advised that without a post, the crown would snap off after six months, and I would run the risk of losing what was left of the tooth. Now, I have to have a new temporary crown put on.  I have to have a post put in my tooth, and hope the tooth doesn't fall apart.  I also have to pay the money to see a Periodontist to help build up the tooth before the permanent crown is put on due to having too much tooth take off.  And, if I am lucky, I will have this tooth for another five years, but my dentist advised I will likely need to have a dental implant, because my tooth was butchered. While Emergency Dental Care USA does guarantee their work, I am afraid to go back to them for any additional work.  The work that was done for the crown is bordering malpractice. Everyone at the office was very nice.  They explained their billing clearly.  Their equipment is VERY old and not in good condition.  They do not use digital x-rays.  The drill was not maintaining good speed.  The dentist was complaining about broken and bent tools.

My flapper broke while on vacation for a wedding and I had no front tooth! Luckily I was able to walk from my hotel to this dental office, after hours on a Friday, and was all fixed up in about an hour! What a lifesaver!! Highly recommend!

Went there because of a horrible nerve pain on a tooth I had a scheduled surgery Monday morning.  The pain started the night prior but of course when my husband called this place "sorry last patient seen at 730". So after a horrible night, we went in Saturday by 845. The receptionist let us in early,  but we still waited 30 minutes.  No one asked if I was in pain or what I needed.  The main concern was to get my payment in. I was in pain, not a very happy camper. Again even while I was waiting in the chair the concern was how can you pay. After all the doctor said sorry I can't fix that,  but about my pain??? Thankfully he said I can numb you for free. And it lasted all day!!  Yeah! ! My point here is this is an emergency clinic so by all means take care of the emergency first! !! Staff should be more sensitive and more prepared for complex cases.I won't say I will never go. Because you never know if another emergency happens but I will think twice and hope they can really fix me.Thanks

Definitely not an "emergency" clinic.  I called and told them I need my wisdom teeth out.  I know this because they are raging with pain, pushing my other teeth forward, and crowning through the gums.  So they scheduled a consultation with me.  I paid $140 for a consultation and 4 films.  Each film was $20, compared to UW's $107/film, so that is the only positive comment I have.   During the exam, Dr. Dawar banged on my teeth and gums with metal, and I practically screamed.  So he banged on the other side as well, which luckily wasn't already in pain.  That night, the nerves under my teeth throbbed and hurt more than ever. When I left they gave me a REFERRAL to another place to get my wisdom teeth out, where I will need ANOTHER consultation, which is what I came to THIS place for!  So, basically I just wasted $140.  I politely told them this was the issue and I felt mislead, and they didn't give a crap. Receptionists were hot and cold, nice and then rude, because they are in a part of town and charge a price that attracts a lot of crazy and rude people.
